Installing a hard disk or other SCSI device
Important Before installing an internal SCSI device, read “About Internal Storage Options”
at the beginning of this chapter. Also, follow the steps in “Opening the Computer” to open
the computer safely.
Follow these steps to install a hard disk or other SCSI device in one of the expansion bays
below the floppy disk drive and CD-ROM drive.
1 If you just finished installing a PCI expansion card or memory, replace the chassis by
swinging it back into place. Then lock the chassis by rotating the locking levers.
Using the handle, gently swing the top chassis
closed until it rests firmly on the
bottom chassis.
