1 Place the foreground footage and the background footage on the same track. Make sure there is no gap

between them on the timeline.

2 Drag the Ultimatte AdvantEdge transition out of the Transitions folder in the Effects window and onto

the tail end of the foreground as shown above.

3 Drag the left edge of the AdvantEdge transition all the way to the left edge of the foreground as shown

in the following screenshot.
