No sound from

speaker

1 Verify that volume setting in Control Panel is above 0.

2 Verify that no external speaker is plugged in.

3 Check connections of speaker to interconnect board and

interconnect board to motherboard.

4 Replace interconnect board.

5 Replace motherboard.

PowerBook clicks

when closed

Reinstall center base cover, making sure screw nearest SCSI port

is installed first. (See Take Apart.)
