Locate the white strip of tape on the side

of the top case as shown. Pry the tape

up, and remove the strip. You will need

to put this back when you reassemble

the unit, so place the strip in a clean

place.

Flip your unit over now, and locate your

cd or dvd drive. Use a paper clip to

manually open the drive as shown. (Just

stick the paper clip into the hole, and the

drive will pop out.)

On both sides of the drive will be a

small Philips head screw. Remove both

screws. (The picture only shows one,

but both need to be removed.)
