Some examples of items on the Sidebar:

•

Home – this is your Home folder. If there are other users of this

computer they will see their own Home folder. Each Home folder contains

a series of subfolders—Desktop, Documents, Library, Movies, Music,

Pictures, Public, and Sites.

• Applications – contains all the applications on your Mac,

including Utilities. At TCU these applications include:

o Microsoft Office 2004 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Entourage for

email)

o Norton Antivirus

o And various other tools and utilities

You can add items to the bottom part of the Finder Sidebar. Simply drag and

drop them to the lower part of the Sidebar.

Finder Views

To change how a folder and its contents appear in the right

pane, click one of the view buttons in the toolbar.

• As Icons – the first button on

the left. The contents appear

as icons.

• As List – the middle button.
