Xserve (Late 2006) Front Panel Board Cable Replacement Instructions 4

Left PCI Riser Card

Loosen the two captive screws that secure the left riser bracket to the back panel.

Carefully pull up on the left bracket and riser to disconnect the riser from the logic board. If

an expansion card is installed in the riser, leave it attached.

Captive screws

Tilt the expansion card up so that its port clears the enclosure, and remove the riser and card

from the Xserve.

Front Panel Board Cable

Release the locking levers on the cable connectors and disconnect the front panel board

cable from the front panel board and the logic board.

Remove the cable from the Xserve.
