
106 Chapter 3 Depth Compositing
To limit color correction with a rotoshape mask:
1 Insert a Color–Brightness node after the Add1 node.
2 Insert a Color–RotoShape node, then drag a noodle from RotoShape1 to the mask input
on Brightness1.
3 Click the left side of Brightness1 to load it into the Viewer, then click the right side of
RotoShape1 to load it into the Parameters tab.
4 Using the RotoShape tools in the Viewer shelf, draw a shape around the small zeppelin.
5 Load the Brightness1 parameters, then set the value slider at 0.75 to darken the
zeppelin.
Now the image should work better as a composite. This is a good time to go back and
adjust the color corrections to suit your own preferences.
